Hi folks,

Any tips for buying a guitar manouche. What should I look out for ?
How do you go about checking the quality of a guitar in general ?
Any good advice out there ?

You might want to start by reading Paul Hostetter on the original Selmers:

Paul is very helpful. Your best bet for trying out various options is a Djangofest. You're looking for a guitar that's well-built and sounds Django-ish. There's lots of debate on who does that best. You'll know it when you hear it.
