Yeah..I should be able to get that. The problem with video is that they have to make an NTSC version for N.America. That will cause a delay in the US release...if they even bother to do it. I'm looking into it.

I just heard from a friend in Spain that Bireli is also planning a CD with the great Tommatito. Flamenco meets Manouche. Tommatito is the heir to Paco de Lucia in the same way Bireli is to Django and apparently owns a Dupont, which he plays with a pick.

    Hi,
I'm french so I already bought my Bireli DVD....there's no prob with NTSC cause the DVD is double side on one side there is the PAL version and on the other side there is the NTSC one.

Great! But there's still a delay until it's released in the US. We'll have to wait till Jan....

    Rovello,

can you tell us something more about the DVD? Is it the Gypsy project band with Franck Wolf on sax and Bireli on electric? Or is it more straight-ahead jazz?

Another ass-kicker...Dennis brought his copy to town this weekend, and it had us laughing out loud at how amazing Bireli is. The guy is unstoppable. Nick-Bireli plays both his Hahl and an electric archtop...oh, and electric bass (fretless) as well. Funkytown.

    Best,
    Jack.
