  Sound was OK. Nothing stand out about it. Balanced, not that loud- it's a classical guitar.
  
  I was very impressed by the condition. It really felt like it had never been played. Had the resonator and no scratch marks so you know he was probably playing light classical.
  
  Also, the neck kind of slim for my tastes.
  
  Just goes to show that the design is the thing.

  I suspect Maccaferri was still preferring the original Mozzani design to his own as far as harp guitars were concerned (although he woud have never admitted that!). He used to own five, played them a lot and never parted with them till his death (ah, and I wouldn't define Maccaferri 's playing "light classical": the guy was exchanging blows with Segovia in his time! )
