Amp and pickup/mic recommendation?

ihscoutihscout California,Bay Area Ald la brune
Hello,could anyone recommend a good
amp and pickup/mic?
I currently have an AER compact 60
And a pech a la mouche pickup.
I am happy with that sound, but would also
like to have a real acoustic sound.
I installed a big tone pickup in my Dupont
MD-50,and cannot stand the sound of it.
Not sure if my action is to low for the big tone,
or if it is just the wrong combo, but it sounds
really harsh:-(
I mostly play small bar settings.
Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks :-)

For a more acoustic sound, the Ischell Inside Box is hard to beat: http://shoppingcart.djangobooks.com/Category/ischell-pickups

The installation is non-invasive, and it gives the best combination of natural sound and feedback resistance I've come across. All three guitarists in my band use it. You'll want to play around with the position to get the optimum sound from your guitar. We mount ours close to the bass bridge foot rather than centred on the bridge (the latter is what the instructions show).

My amp is a Schertler David, very clean sound but a bit volume challenged in loud situations. The Schertler Unico might be a better choice.
