    Not sure but it may go to the audio track on the video so they can synch the audio to the video durig the editing process.

    Maple on necks is heavier and it does help create a beefier sound.

    This is interesting and something I've heard a lot. But I've never seen an explanation as to why the heavier neck makes a better sounding guitar. Anyone know?

    Certainly the phenomenon has also been observed on Strats... maple necks are much better "sounding" (especially with age).
