There's a good group of dedicated players in Australia....they're ranked #9 for traffic. Not bad....

Generally the biggest concentration of Gypsy jazz players and fans is on the West Coast. I've always been surprised how little goes on back East, especially considering the huge population and arts/music scenes of NY, Boston, etc. But it's definitely growing out there which is great!
