FAPY AT DJANGOFEST NORTHWEST 2013!

Yep. It's official.

I've been granted the honor of letting you know that Fapy Lafertin has agreed to play Djangofest Northwest 2013!

It's been years of wishing, hoping, and pleading but now he's on the books and slated to come to the USA! Fapy is scheduled to be accompanied by Dave Kelbie on rhythm guitar and possibly Simon Planting on bass.

This has been a long desired dream for many of us and we have Nick Lehr to thank for this! Let's give a thumbs-up to both Fapy and Nick for this good news.

(And to Phil in Portland: Looks like it's time to celebrate with some more jerk chicken!)

    Not positive on anything past DIJ, but does anyone happen to know if they have firm dates yet for the Fest?

    Thanks, buddy. There's a (very outside) chance we'll be at Samois, and France generally, this summer. Can you, or anyone else, say how far in advance lodgings, etc., should be taken care of? (I should say, cheap is good, no frills, but my bod won't allow a sleeping bag on the ground). Thanks, all.

    The re-release of Fapy's '94 and '96 Hungaria and Swing Guitars CDs is part of my daily bread, so this truly is a boon!
