I've been listening to this album recently.
I was surprised when I found it as I never heard of entire live performance by Django.
Exciting and brilliant.
I think this is from Django's own tape? There are other live recordings -- there's a radio broadcast live from Bricktop's. I'd be interested to know if anyone has ever listed all of Django's extant live recordings.
The same recordings as on the last cd of the "Django on the radio" box? Plus a couple of extra tunes? I don't think I've heard Air Mail Special.

I'd never heard any of it! The brick top recordings and the chevalier stuff I've heard but never this. Great hearing the shouts of encouragement and enjoyment from the band during some tunes.
I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell
I was just listening to "I can't give you anything but love" and there is a great exchange between the sax and the guitar at the end of the song, Django is completely killing it.
If someone could organize a listening party somewhere that would be something, be so much fun to hear it with other djangophiles.
