Beautiful hand made French guitar in mint condition. You can search 2012 ALD Original on this forum or YouTube to hear this guitar. I love this guitar but just bought the 2009 Shopis and need to sell this one. Purchased for $3500. Will sell for $2850.

It is #283. Good point TPC168. I was catching some flack from significant other about getting the Shopis so I may be rushing a little.

Mandocat, it would just be a shame to sell off something you know is good to get something with which you're not sure you'll bond. Both are great guitars. Every ALD I've ever heard is stellar: bold, complex--Angelo Debarre and many others love their sound. Now Shopis also sound excellent. Different, but still excellent. If it were me, I'd play both and then decide.

We'll if it's ALD #283, then that thing is a monster guitar--incredible tone and full of character. At 2800 bucks, that's a steal. No guitar under 3k is in that ballpark.
