I have had my M01 for almost 6 months now and I just love it. Josh's setup was/is perfect. I debated on whether to spend more and get the M10, but I do not regret my decision even for a moment. I love playing my Altamira.
Well, I'm glad I came to this forum. I know a lot more about gj guitars than I did just two days ago. And the March Manouche sounds like fun.
Thanks to everyone, particularly Stuart, for your remarks.
You're a fantastic player, so I am taking a very small leap and will say that almost any properly setup Gypsy Jazz guitar is going to sound quite good in your hands.
Well, thank you very much. I recognise your name from jazzguitar.be. Nice to see you here!
Indeed I am the same person! There are a few of us that frequent both, though this board you'll find is quite incredible. Historical knowledge, information about gear, and technical expertise. Plus the products available from Michael really are second to none.
Rob, there's an 01 on classifieds page that's been set up with a Dupont bridge. You may get a deal! Also, when trying to designate you @, a Rob comes up in Holland!
Thanks for the notice. We Rob's are taking over the world...slowly...you'll just turn round one day, and everyone will be Bob, bob, bobbing along. Or Robbing...
So, you have the @Name thing here. Good. We have that in a photography forum a frequent. Very useful.
Add another...my handle is rgrice, the R being...you guessed it: Rob and Robbie, for Robert. Us Roberts are in abundance!
The problem is that you're @name came up as someone else!
Fyi, I think @MichaelHorowitz mentioned when he launched this feature that notifications don't work unless your user name is a single word without a space. He himself changed it into the above.
so @Rob MacKillop may not work notifying you.
Ah. OK. I'll see if I can make my username RobMacKillop. It's a personal thing, but I prefer using my real name. I just can't get used to referring to people as, say, 6g29FU. I'm old fashioned that way.
