It's not that bad actually, I guess no worse compared to folks in Europe - the worst part being managing the guitar vs airline problem...
I hope you can make it!
A lil' scoop. This weekend I will be recording a short course with Rino on comping Django style. Comping (violin) solos with all those crazy cool passing chords, tremolos and other tasteful magic is Rino's specialty.
Time to capture that on (2) camera(s) and make precise "Rosenberg Academy" style transcirptions. I hope to finish everything before Django in June!
For my part I'll be mostly looking fwd to the rhythm lessons w/ Remi Oswald, the RP quartet rhythm guy.
Players dedicated to rhythm are a rare breed, and I have a feeling there is a lot to be gained from personal interaction compared to, say a solo lesson.
Maybe because rhythm is more organic, or deep in some sense. With solo you can learn to some extent via explanations or even notation, but rhythm, not much to get if you don't have the guy in front of you...

I just need to clear a few things and I'll be signing up myself.
I hope you can make it!

Thanks to all those who keep showing up, keep making this event what it is.
