the pickups are manufactured in two versions
    1) impedance <400 ohm, balanced cable, XLR connection
    2) +/- 1.2 ohm impedance connection 1/4

Ever do any with a Volume & Tone control?
Maybe with an old DeArmond Rhythm Chief Style clamp on between tailpiece and bridge?

Surdo, can you explain the advantages and disadvantages of the XLR vs. 1/4" plug? Most magnetic pickups have 1/4" plugs, what is the advantage of the XLR?

They can be properly grounded for one thing.....experts will have to explain the others

pickups with XLR output, we balanced cable, impedance <400 ohms. With this pickup is like having a microphone voice about the construction parameters, and the same way we treat the voice of the microphone signal, can be connected to the XLR microphone inputs of the mixer or amp with XLR input. The sound picked up by the pickups is as natural to offer a magnetic pickups. but without the problems of piezoelectric pickups have.

pickups with output jack 1 \ 4 is a pickup with an impedance of 1.2 kohm, can be connected to the inputs jacks of all amplifiers, can be sent to the input of a DI or to pedal for volume control. We say that is the version of the pickups for the musician who does not want to upset his habits, or is convenient to combine the instruments already in its possession.
The pickups still is extremely quiet, very natural sound, with a leggerrisima coloration of the sound making it slightly warmer.

pickups with output jack 1 \ 4 is a pickup with an impedance of 1.2 kohm, can be connected to the inputs jacks of all amplifiers, can also be sent to the input of a volume pedal for volume control, or small box with input and output jacks 1 \ 4 and potentiometer for volume, for those who wish can also enter in the box which sopre a small preamp. these boxes can be placed close dell'attacca shoulder.
    The solutions are varied.

both versions of the pickups have the metal structure grounded.
the pickups with XLR output has the screen connected on pin number 1 plug cannon.
the pickups with jack 1 \ 4 has the metal structure grounded (on cable shield)

It should be connected to the XLR microphone inputs of the mixer or amplifier with XLR input. The sound picked up by the pickup is so natural as natural among the existing magnetic pickups. all the benefits of balanced connection, noise immunity, low noise, no distortion, no feedback, etc., etc., (see manual electrical engineering)
the pickups that does not have the slightest problem unlike those found in piezo pickups, magnetic pickups or high impedance.

with pickup output jack 1 \ 4 is a pick-up with an impedance of 1.2 kohm, also here the impedance is still maintained at low levels, compared to other pickups on the market, the pickups can be connected to the inputs of all amplifiers, can be sent to the input of a DI or to a pedal for the control of the volume. We say that is the version of the pickup for the musician who does not want to upset his habits, or that it is convenient to combine it with the tools already in its possession.
The pickups still boasts a very natural sound extremely quiet, poor feedback, but with a slight almost imperceptible color that makes the hottest pickups.
