Funny, jonpowl, I was going to suggest the same thing. But it doesn't sound the same as fret buzz. Maybe a fret just lifted slightly (if it's definitely fret noise) - might need a tap on the offending fret or squeeze with a wood clamp. As far as humidity, be glad you're not here where the humidity has been ~90%, then will drop down to 10% this winter.
  • @jonpowl haha I just got back from Victors guitar and the loose truss rod is exactly what it was. That also explains the slightly higher action as the relief was too high due to the loose truss rod.

    Thank you everyone!

  • @Andrew Ulle it was more of a rattle noise which I was confusing as fret buzz, I should have known better as it definitely sounded different then normal fret buzz I have experienced

Or could be a loose moustache or tailpiece insert??

Try holding down the moustache ends while someone picks the notes that rattle.

Did the guitar shop fix it for you just by tightning the truss rod? If so thats awesome that its fixed!
  • Yes tightening the truss rod fixed the problem! I was very relieved.
  • And the bonus is now you know what that sounds like.
The Magic really starts to happen when you can play it with your eyes closed
