I've changed my mind. Now it's a dot per fret space, that's right 1 at the first, 2 at the second all the way up to 24 at the 24th or however many frets you've got.

I'd like to stand as a single issue candidate, my platform would be the abolition of 9th AND 10th fret markers.
I'm also running. But my platform is interchangeable markers -- one black, one white. You pop them out and switch them whenever you want.
I say equal rights for 9th and 10th fret markers!!!
