I’ll add my voice to the Craig Bumgarner chorus. I have a 2018 Corazon by Craig, of course stuff like this is a matter of taste, but for my tastes it is not only the finest instrument I own, it is one of the best guitars I have ever laid my hands on. It is an inspirational instrument.

Craig Bumgarner is your man. My Derecho model is the best gypsy guitar I've ever played. There is a local guy with a lot of nice Favinos, selmers, and everything else. He LOVES my Bumgarner. Craig is also wonderful to deal with.

Craig's guitars are painstakingly created. He patiently and thoroughly absorbs your ideas and explains what works and what doesn't. Craig built my f hole in 2018. you won't be sorry if you ask him to build you an instrument.

    Merry Christmas to all!

@DeuxDoigts_Tonnerre err... forgive my NYC ignorance but CW? That's a lot of sel-mac style guitars for one shop in the USA (that isn't a specialist?)

    Thanks!

@Stamos666 if you still like your Gitane - maybe hold off on selling it. Your Gitane can now be your travel/camping/beach guitar. I have a cheap Altamira that serves that purpose, and I really appreciate that.

Sunscreen on French polish? Meh, it'll be cloudy but fine. So hot that the finish starts to bubble? No problem. Accidently drop it while playing in a hammock? No big deal. If it gets lost/destroyed at the airport? Really sucks, but I could get another.

If you buy a used guitar that's not in perfect condition, and you pay an appropriate price for it, dings and such will be less of a worry. And they won't affect the resale value as much, should you decide to sell it.
