New Wegenpicks?

Hi all,

This is Michel Wegen from the Netherlands. It has been quite while since I was on a forum, and I'm trying to learn how to use this.

Anyway, I have been very busy in the past couple of months, and I think I may have developed new guitar picks.

I have made a start with some of the grooved teardrop models.

The models are the same (I hope), but the material is different, and so is the way I can produce these picks.

The available models are the Gypsyjazzpick, the GP250, Twins 2.5mm and the Twins 3.5mm. All these picks come in grey.

Since I don't play any musical instruments myself, I'm looking for testing players. I'll supply free picks, in exchange for honest, good and bad, feedback on this Djangobooks forum.

I was thinking about five serious testing players for each model.

So, when you are interested, please drop me a line.

I regularly play the 3,5mm twins so that would be my first test choice as i am very familiar with them :)

Hi @Wegen101, its nice to see you here on the forum. You make great picks. I bet this new line will be no different. Though I hope the previous models won't be discontinued.

I'm a BigCity 1.8mm player but would be interested in trying these. If the new material would be suitable for a BigCity in the future I would also be interested in checking that out.

    Thanks, great picks!

If you have a Big City 1.8mm I'd like to try one and compare it.

    Michel,

Been using your picks for over 20+ years since Neil Andersson from Pearl Django told me to have you sand down the tip a bit on a standard GJPick as if it was worn from a lot of playing! I've used your 3.5mm Gypsyjazzpick (usually for rhythm), the Fatone (not much anymore) and the GP250 (which I always keep in my wallet...never know when you need a pick!) I've tried a bunch of other picks, but usually come back to yours for familiarity and feel. They stay in my hand where I want them and that is important to me.

There are probably other guys on here who are better players than me, so I likely am not the greatest person to test for you. But, I'm right near @Buco and we meet every week so perhaps we can both try them and you can get 2 for 1!

P.S. I like how you put your motorcycle in your profile for where the guitars usually go.😂

Nice catch, Bill! If I ever get into bikes, it'll be a 70s BMW, either R75 or R80. Love those things.

The first pick I tried in this genre was the Gypsyjazzpick and gp250. I would love to be of some use to you for either of those.

I play weekly with three other guys. My go to right now is an EML pick very similar to the button (which I also have).
