I'm down to 10 (was up to 18 at one point).
I have 6 archtops, 3 selmacs and a classical. If I had to, I could get down to 2 guitars (An archtop and a selmac), but luckily, I don't have to!
Guitars will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no guitars (apologies to the fabulous furry freak brothers!).

The single note stuff sounded real cool, and I don't think I'll ever gripe about the 26' scale hurting my hand again!!!! Boy, some of that stuff is a b*tch to play on a 30' scale neck!!!
I used the JD Primetone 5mm pick too, and it did make single note playing a much more pleasureable experience.
