the Robin Nolan chart has the standard melody, which is easy enough for anyone to figure out on their own. for the winterstein "break" lick, i think it is like this (but its going to look messy when i paste it in here):
[code]E||------------------------|--------------------------| B||------8--7--6--5--------|--------------------------| G||------------------7--4--|--------------------------| D||------------------------|--6--5-----------------5--| A||------------------------|--------8--7--6--7--8-----| E||------------------------|--------------------------| D D D D D
-----------------------4--|--7--6--5--4--5--6s(10)-11--| --------------------6-----|----------------------------| --------------4--7--------|----------------------------| --7--6--5--6--------------|----------------------------| --------------------------|----------------------------| --------------------------|----------------------------| D D D
How 'bout a video? This is a nice clear close-up of the guitarist's noting hand:

Jon- Thats awesome man I used to have that lick notated somewhere. That was two moves ago I couldn't find it if I tried. I am still tryng to figure out that last little bit where the tab wraps around but you're the man of the hour in my book.
Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.
I got the tab transcription from someone else. i dont remember who did it.
all you need to do is select the tablature from above and cut and paste it into a Notepad app and set the font to "Courier New" and you'll be able to read it...
The coolest thing about this song is the winterstein style break. I wish everyone did it with the break. Tom Conway does it nicely...
the break lick isn't required for the song and most people dont play it. once you learn the regular song you can learn the break lick later. i posted it so that people who've heard the lick can use it. if you cant figure out the regular song on your own your probably not yet ready to use the lick anyway. sorry to be so short... im just short on time right now.
the lick is similar (not the same) to Toms lick on this recording:

I don't have a recording or the Robin Nolan book. Please post a chart or mp3 if you can.
Thanks

Can you post an mp3 clip of the break lick or let me know what CD it is performed on? Is it done in between choruses?
Thanks!

Thanks for the link. That makes it clear. I was wondering were it went because of the length of it. Now I get it.
Thanks!
best,
Jack.
