Hi Paul, I'm guessing (obviously) that he didn't change his hand position much between lead and rhythm but might try to find those few video clips to see if there is any footage of him playing rhythm.

Interestingly, I mentioned the photos of Django my wife got me for Xmas, and among them, Django is very definitely curling his fingers in, all of a line....wonder if, like Stochelo, he strummed with fingers in together, and used a ring finger as a light contact with the board when playing lead.
Anyway, very curious about this thing with Nous'che - a salient difference, for me, anyway, and sincerely curious on what effect, if any, this has in his particular sound.
