if you explain to me how to attach a picture to my posts, then I'll attach the score for "My kind of bebop" from my latest album (based on the changes of Cherokee). The melody is a good example of what I'm talking about.
Best regards

You have to upload the image to a server first. You have your own website, so you should be able to put the file there. Then use the IMG function when posting a message. All you have to do is enter the url of the image. If you want, you can just send me the image and I can put it on my server.
I have trouble figuring out the fingerings you use though, some of it is quite tricky
i also had some trouble figuring out some notes in the B section over the Bm-E7 chords, it's a bit unclear on the CD because of the piano and guitar at the same time..
in any case, i learned a lot from your CD, so thanks!!

i feel i add beats or miss beats sometimes because i dont play bebop, i dont know the vocabulary well enough...
when i try to do it playing django style i am generally much much better at it, because i know the vocabulary pretty well
i have a question for 2+4 though, when u practice that way, do you feel the 2 and 4 or do you try to feel the 1 and 3 (while metronome does 2 + 4) , i notice i have a hard time playing certain django melodies that way (like sweet georgia brown), I really want to feel the 1 and 3 on those melodies... but when i play a bebop melody like donna lee or billie's bounce, it's easier with 2+4
a question about the fingerings in Dennis' transcription - I would naturally be inclined to stay in one position rather than moving around so much. are you more likely to stay in the same position Andreas?
Nick, my fingerings are more based around the middle of the guitar neck (around 6th fret and up). It's no ultimate fingering but maybe a bit easier to play
Best regards
Andreas
i had a hard time transcribing the last few notes, i'm sure they're wrong but it's blurry in the video and sound...
it's over the two bars of C7 in donna lee, starting on a pickup (on the Bb7 chord)... 2nd triplet of beat 4... all triplets and ends on the Fm chord 2 measures later.....
really challenging lick both technique wise and rhythmically.... andreas you have clearly been listening to yngwie recently

Dennis, feel free to post your transcription. I know that you're very good at this, I'm almost sure your powertab is more accurate than the original

To answer your question, I think I feel the 2&4. It's a bit harder at first to stay in time but when you get it, you'll be swinging like crazy:idea:
Sweet Georgia Brown is kind of a "straight" theme so the melody might work better with 1&3 like you suggested.

well for example the very beginning of the solo is based off the Bbmaj scale 6th position, so just play all the notes using that scale position
