... been watching this thread for album recommendations....

Dennis - when I looked at your post - I swear I thought you said: "Beastie Boys" doing Minor Swing...

It makes me wonder if the Basily Boys do: "No Sleep 'till Brooklyn"
You get one chance to enjoy this day, but if you're doing it right, that's enough.

I highly recommend "Mistral" - Pigalle 44 - where melody and lyricism abounds plenty!

Phil, recommendations on how to get this album in the States (besides Itunes - for some reason, Itunes really crashed my last computer and I don't want to risk it again) - not listed on Amazon. Listening to Reinier Voet & Pigalle 44, Swing for Bop right now, really love it.

    Thanks Phil.

I was hoping for an MP3 download, as that's how I tend to buy music anymore. Know of any source (beside Itunes)?

My favorite Fapy albums are "Star Eyes" and "Hungaria"

I have to also say that Moreno sometimes plays really fast stuff but on the most part its slower and tasteful. You might like the album "Le fils du vent" or "Bolero" because they are on the simpler side of things amongst his albums. (Bolero seems a bit faster because of the waltzes.) Those 2 would be a great playlist for a restaurant:

    1st choice: http://www.djangostation.com/Le-fils-du-vent,164.html
    2nd choice: http://www.djangostation.com/Moreno-Bolero,980.html

(Morenos albums "Yochka" and "Romano Baschepen" have the faster stuff on them probably because of Angelo. LOL.)

Tchavolo Schmitt's CD - Mira Familia is a great example of that type of playing. The recording sound gives you the feeling that he's playing in your living room, it's really warm and inviting.
