    For now I have the putty. The epoxy is a bit of a commitment, that I didn't want to make until I knew I like the pickup. Now that I know I do, I'll probably make permanent installation with the epoxy.

    Collin, did you end up getting the active or passive version of the pickup? I went with the passive one, since using your own preamp gives you the most control over your tone.

    It's the passive one. I already had a couple of preamps, plus the Pick Up The World preamp allows me to adjust the volume while I am playing, which can be useful.

    I am new on the forum.
    I saw you installed a Schatten on your D hole Gitane.

    I am also interested in the Schatten pickup - but I am wondering how the feedback with a D-hole guitar behaves.

    Do you have some information about the feedback risk with this pickup ?
    Did you test it in bars, in concerts with high volume ? Does it feed back (larsen) ?
