    I guess I was confused by the photo posted. The clip is sitting on the lower bass bout.

    note sure what you mean....the clip that secures the gooseneck to the guitar is attached to the strings behind the bridge on the treble side. The goosneck then extends to the lowerbout area where the mic is attached at the end. There's nothing on the bass bout at all.
