Hi,
This is pretty damn cool as it is, but a couple of things I'd like in there:
1) More than one chord change per bar. (Forgive me if it already does this and I just haven't figured out how) 2) Additional chord: the 7b5 chord but with a Major third (*7b5 instead of *m7b5). It's not strictly Gypsy but appears in modern reharmonisations and works well in the later bebop stuff like 'Impromptu' as a tritone substitute for V7. Here's how you can put the two chords together as part of a II-V-I progression (in this case, | Em7b5-Eb7b5 | Dm6):
II V I ----------------- -8---8---6------ -7---6---4------ -8---7---7------ -7---6---5------ -----------------
(and it's an opportunity to throw some modern whole-tone moves into the mix as well )
I know, there are a few more chords I have to include Djangolizer as m69, 7b5, 13b9. I want to record all of them with a better guitar anyway and ad some new grooves as Bossa and Bolero.
with the triangle symbol you can split one measure in two half measures. But it's not possible (now), to plit a measure into four quarters.
:!:
I optimised the Djangolizer Homepage and added three links:
NEWS, Gypsy Swing and Tips&Tricks.
In Gypsy Swing I write about the music, the difference to the American Jazz and what is important when you want to buy a gypsy guitar.
In Tips&Tricks I help you to get organized in practising guitar, how Djangolizer can help you with your daily exercises and how you can find out your own licks.
I plan to make some improvements to Djangolizer very soon.
A song delete button and a left hand fretboard will be added.
There is an Djangolizer update available now for download.
We included some new features as:
- Import/Export of a song
- Import/Export manually of many songs
- Delete button, for deleting a song from your local library
- View of the fretboard for lefthanded guitar players
Now you have score view in different keys like C, Bb, Eb, A, F and Bass. The cursor turns blue, to show you, that the chords in the grid are not, what the playback is playing.
Now you can mute some bars for practicing your timing or to include breaks.
It's much easier now to compose a song. You can use the key-commands copy/paste, to build your composition. You get default songs with some chord modules for an easy and fast composing.
The scales are available in all church modes, harmonic minor modes and melodic minor modes.
I recorded some new chords. I hope they sound ok, because the last ones I recorded 2 years ago.
and so on...
Please check out the new Demo Version to get the full picture. www.djangolizer.ch
