Just got back from seeing the new movie Hugo. The film is set in 1930's Paris. Featured several times throughout the film is a band with a guitarist. To me, he looked like a young Jimmy Rosenberg. So I decided to investigate further and stayed for the ending credits. To my astonishment the character was listed as none other than
Django Reinhardt as played by Swedish actor Emil Lager. However, while getting ready to leave I missed the rest of the credits. Does anyone know who plays guitar on the soundtrack?

We'll probably go see the movie soon. If I can come up with an opinion (or the actual movie credits show the musicians) before someone else chimes in with the real goods, I'll post it.

I searched through thousands of pictures on Google looking for a movie still of the band, but couldn't find one. The actor, Emil Lager, is actually a good guitarist. His Myspace page has samples of several of his country-blues songs. http://www.myspace.com/lageremil
