I get all the issues with the creation and production of this film, but for me, all that was kind of a frame around the video recreations of what it was like to be at a Django concert. For the chance to get a a glimpse of that, I can forgive if not actually fast forward through the movie as needed.
Got a chuckle from the idea that this “monkey music” could so influence an audience so as to drop their inhibitions so completely. Then again, I understand, perhaps anecdotally, that an audience was known to rip out seats and dance during a performance of Benny Goodman’s “Sing, Sing, Sing.”
Don’t know if mentioned yet, but the film is free on Amazon Prime.
