That was my first thought but I figured you would've noticed if the neck had been swapped (since that would probably have to be a different scale length)

The neck's original, but the fingerboard is later I'm sure. It's quite well done, but perhaps the scale length is slightly different to how it was.
There is a Sonora guitar made by Louis Patenotte for sale on Ebay:

Ah yes, rather nice and interesting binding. They're asking quite a lot though! I'd prefer this for a bit less, though it's been listed on Ebay for over a year I'm sure, with no takers. Perhaps it sounds a bit naff!!
Yes, but most interesting is a clear connection between Patenotte and the Sonora brand, so he can now be added to the list of luthiers who made Sonora guitars..!
There are three Sonoras on Reverb right now. One a rather plain small parlor style and one of the more common Grande Bouche type that is once again claiming the old 'made by Busato' cliche that seems to have stuck to these although it has more in common with maybe Castelluccia but with what looks like a Sicilian bridge. The third is this one of unknown provenance but featuring a fancy burned in (?) horse design. Again the Sicilian bridge and that odd 13 1/2 fret neck to body joint. Any clues?

Ah yes, I didn't think that you can have a different scale length on the same neck.

Hi Chris! Yes I have seen them! That black archtop Sonora is interesting too! Maybe an Olivieri? I will have to do some more research to be sure..
