Django In The Bay festival 2026

My special treat in May was a visit to the wonderful Django In The Bay, in Rutland, UK.

Here are some photos. Just as last year, the six evening concerts were brilliant. I made sure I joined in with jam sessions.

Robert Ford chatting to Wauwau. The black Busato replica D hole is now Wauwau's, and he played it on stage.

Killy Nonis inspecting my guitar. It attracted quite a lot of interest!

Eliaz Prinz and his sextet - what an amazing group. Eliaz's Favino (number 67) was the most amazing sounding guitar I've ever heard - a growling beast!!! Particularly noticeable at the jam session after the gig.

Don Vink was superb. That's Natalia who organises the festival. The final concert was Tcha and Fapy. What can I say? I was in tears.

What really struck me again was the sound quality - utterly wonderful and totally immersive.

Looks like a fun vibe. That luthier tent scene and some of the basic stage shots remind me of an early Samois when it was still on the Ile de Berceau.

What a phenomenal set of pictures. It shows what was happening really well. What's this guitar of yours? (I'm sure I could dig through your posts and find out but then then we wouldn't have something to talk about)
