Bruce Cockburn (pronounced Co-burn) is a singer-songwriter. Full disclosure, I am not a fan of this genre, even though I do like Bruce’s leftwing politics.
But as even a non-fan has gotta admit, he’s got his own thing going on guitar...
Bruce is still making recordings to this day, but his biggest hit here in Canada was 1984’s “If I had a rocket launcher”, a protest song against Reagan-era US covert war in Central America.
Paul Cezanne: "I could paint for a thousand years without stopping and I would still feel as though I knew nothing."
Edgar Degas: "Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things.... To draw, you must close your eyes and sing."
Georges Braque: "In art there is only one thing that counts: the bit that can’t be explained."
