Using the New Forum

I created this primer to help ease everyone into the new forum format:
Finding New Posts
-The main page of the forum lists all the new posts in chronological order. Just check there to see the latest activity.
-Anything you've already read will be shaded
-To mark everything as read, click "Mark All Viewed" in the very top nav bar
-You can also browse by category via the category menu on the right
Notifications
-If you want to follow a particular thread and be notified of all new posts, just bookmark it by clicking the star in the upper right hand corner.
-All bookmarked discussions are listed under the bookmarks section in the upper right.
-You can edit all notification settings in your user profile (click on you user name and then click on Edit Profile/Notifications Preferences ). There's a huge amount of flexibility here, including the option to receive both popup and email notifications of any category you choose.
Private Messages
-To send a user a PM, just click the "PM" symbol next to their username in any post.
-You can also click on the person's username and then press the "Message" button on the upper right.
-Private messages can be used to have a private conversation between more than two people, neat!

There should be a message in the box...it's a notification of some sort. You either got a private message or someone posted to one of the discussions you're following.
