Holy moly! Maybe we'll see that Super Mario tune on an album after all.

I have uploaded a rare acoustic album by Les Manouches (Ninine and Mondine of La Chope fame) - most of their recordings have been electric. This is one of their two best IMO, the other being the album with les deux guitares on it.

It would be really cool to see this project work - for a long time I have hoped for a place where lots of rare recordings could be shared by everyone, to allow them to be heard, as they should be :)

I agree Stu - IMO the best performance of that great waltz on record. When I was at La Chope in 2003 I requested it, and Mondine played the lead on that and Valse des Niglos - pure magic!

I have also put up Oe Djovia by Bamboula Ferret (With Fapy) and Tchan Tchou's Swinging Guitars.

Care to share any of your gems Stu?

Well, I'm finally uploading some stuff, though you guys already put up a lot of what I was planning to-I'm glad this is working out! Anyway, I've posted some live recordings but some tracks are missing because I forgot again that you can't use apostrophes in the file names...it can get tough with so many names in french. More to come...

    Best,
    Jack.

Yeah, apologies for the onerous naming conventions -- not my idea, but a requirement of my hosting provider.

It's also worth mentioning that you can download software that will let you change many filenames at once...I ended up doing this to replace all of the spaces with underscores, and it was free, simple, and saved me about 6 months of work!

    Best,
    Jack.

    Hi Jack,

thank you very much for all that Tchan Tchou-recordings!!

Would you please tell the order of the Live recordings 4.3.1986. It seems as if you have 2 CDs with recordings 1-8 and 1-10. But which order do they have on which CD?

    Best,
    Barengero

    Hi Barengero and everyone,

the recordings labelled 4.3.86 are NOT Tchan Tchou, but rather Matelot Ferret and Francis-Alfred Moerman

Also, if people post incomplete folders, could they notify the board here when they add the missing files, so people know when to get them? Thanks :)
