I have a cd of Tchavolo Titi Bamberger and Ottorino Freier entitled Die Konige Von Strassburg, sinti jazz sessions, that I would like to upload is this available anywhere?

Ottorino once told me that the CD isn´t available in germany. I think it is out of print at all.

Hey guys, I've got some status questions...available, or no?

    Joue pour Django (Joseph Reinhardt)
    Jacques Montagne ep ('67?)
Montagne Live in Paris '66 (I'm not sure how rare the Montagne stuff is, and if it shouldn't be posted I'm fine with that)
Waso (Live at Gringo's, Epitaph pour Django, vol. 5)
    Hans'che (Das Hans'che Weiss Quinttet)
    M. Ferret (Le Train Gitane)

At any rate I'll load some more live recordings soon...

    Best,
    Jack.

Was just looking at the directory. I was surprised how much space is being used given that there aren't that many folders, but then I saw the "unknown artist samois" folder is pretty huge. Cool though it is, given its size I will probably need to take that down before too long. So if you want to grab that stuff, do it soon -- or if someone else has ~ 190MB of space they can offer to host these files that would be cool too. If space becomes an issue after that I'll probably take down the "30s-40s_rare_jazz_guitar" ogg files next just because I don't think they're all that rare/unavailable (am I wrong?) and b/c they're not fully within what I see as my GJ/swing musette "mission."

If space is still an issue after that, I will take stuff off-line on a first in, first out basis & will put up some kind of text file to track the changes.

    thanks,

    John

yeah, last time I talked to Akio he told me that there were no Konige von Strasbourg CDs left, so unless more have been made recently I would classify it as out of print.

and yes, Titi is one of the greatest rhythm guitarists ever :)

    This one doesn't have Lulu:

Here's the Lulu one (also great):

It's odd; when you look at the 'official' site for Hans'che, it only has five albums in his discography, so I don't just want to throw everything out there. I don't think Djangostation has info on what's currently available, does it? I know you can buy the Das... and Dja Maro Drom LPs here:
    http://www.marktplaza.nl/LP-H-NS-CHE-WE ... 386921.php
But that doesn't seem the same as 'currently available' to me...

    Jack.

    Hi,
I think "Vis a Vis", "Erinnerungen", "Couleurs" and "Musik deutscher Zigeuner Vol. 5" "The Duo…Live" are currently available.

"Musik deutscher Zigeuner Vol. 6", "Das Häns´che Weiss Quintett", "Musik deutscher Zigeuner"(=2LP) "Dja maro Drom", "Fünf Jahre Musik deutscher Zigeuner", "Zugaben", "Live at Llodys", to my knowledge are out of print.

I am not sure about "Just play I and II"

    Hi all,

After talking with collectors, I won't be putting up either Le Train Gitane or the Montagne recordings. There are strong opinions in the collecting community (rightly so, I think) about this sort of trading. Most aren't at all averse to sharing their collection, just not in this way, where almost anything can be available to anyone with a computer. For now if I upload more it'll be limited to more modern recordings-most likely personal recordings from festivals and the like. I've also taken down the Tchan-Tchou and Matelot/Moerman recordings I'd put up.

    Trying to be good,
    Jack.

(By the way, I think Just Play I and II are available via Hans'che's site.)

Does anyone know the status of the following:

Rosenberg Trio, Live at New Morning, Paris, 13 tracks

Fapy: Aurore, Fleur de Lavande, Star Eyes*, Hungaria

    * listed on his website but not available
(I am hesitant to share the Fapy stuff because it's fairly newly OOP, and one would hope it will be available again. Anyone know more?)

    thanks
