In case you've been living in a cave:
Sebastien Giniaux Trio
Guitarist Sebastien Giniaux is at the forefront of the "new breed" of young gypsy jazz players in Paris. A virtuoso in every sense, his mastery of the guitar and cello has allowed him to perform as a member of the Gypsy ensemble Norig and the world's greatest Romanian Gypsy band: Taraf De Haiduks. In addition, he has regularly performed at the Samois Django Reinhardt Festival--a concert reserved for only the finest gypsy jazz guitarists in the world. His endless creativity in improvisation draws upon influences in classical, tango, gypsy, modern jazz, rock, and of course Django Reinhardt. In the recent showcase CD, "Selmer #607", Sebastien's dazzling improvisation and compositions shine among tracks from the best guitarists in France.
With his world-class trio featuring Mathieu Chatelain (rhythm guitar) and Jeremie Arranger (bass), he performs original compositions and standards in an updated style reminiscent of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of France.

Sebastien Plays TONIGHT, Wednesday 10/1 at the Throckmorton Theater in Mill Valley.
I saw Adrien using one too...

For those of you coming out Saturday, I would recommend getting to the place early. It's a relatively small place with tables and seating, but it might fill up fast and standing can be a bit uncomfortable. There is definitely a buzz around town about the show.
Also, don't forget about the Friday show at Club Deluxe. It's a little more spacious and you'll probably score a sweet booth right in front of the band if you go!
And, in case somebody missed SuperMario's post, check out Rosenberg, Giniaux, and Chang backstage....
