    Although the children worked hard on their drawings, I will give all of them a bad grade, because they consistently ignored my beautiful old french manouche guitar!

    Here's the one I did today.

    Homer head shark and family.

    It started with the Zig Zag pattern. Which is the pattern for the flats on the staff. "It's easy to remember. It looks just like homers hair, or Charlie Brown's shirt. Ok now do your theory sheets while I draw a picture"


    And that is how you teach music.

    English is not my native language, I'm afraid I didn't understand your post at all.

    What I understood is, that you were talkIng about a music lesson. And that you were dealing with flats and used the Simpsons to demonstrate some subject. But what does it mean that "zigzag " is a pattern for flattening notes? Has the position of the Simpsons or of the hair something to do with different pitches? Why is it important that "diffident" is word of the day?

    I'm somewhat irritated, need help ... 😕
