Here are a couple that a friend of mine drew many years ago

Back cover art for "Der Klampfn-Toni"', a collection of bavarian folk songs. "Klampfn" is a slang word for guitar.

Cover art and illustrations for "Das leibhaftige Liederbuch" ("The incarnate song book"), another collection of bavarian folk songs. The second drawing is underwritten with "Folks, you have to be funny". "Abgesang" means finale, epilogue - but sung.

Your internet sleuthing skills are better than mine. I did a cursory search but couldn't find (could read the last name "Head"). You saved me from going through all my CDs in the basement to find the insert.

Not sure if these were mentioned before as this thread is 23 pages(!), but was thinking of this great "kids" album and thought it fit the theme.

That's Jerry Garcia and Dave Grisman, with Jerry being the artist. And since we are on the subject, here's another Garcia/Grisman cover for their band Old & In the Way (drawn by the late Greg Irons).

Thank you, surely fits! I didn't know the two albums (never been a deadhead although been aware of Jerry Garcia's importance), but just listened to several songs from them I found on youtube. What is thrilling me most until now is "The thrill is gone".
