I have a Manouche mic inside with the jack installed and glued flush.
I'd have to drill it out out of there. Which isn't big of a deal. But I need to be convinced beyond return it's going to be worth it. That in addition to figuring out the logistics of the install and battery location.

I'm not a big fan how the contact pickups sound compared to the external mic. It's fine but nothing very impressive.
Yeah, I turned into a fossil so I've tried a bunch of stuff, dual source & otherwise over the years. If I already had the endpin jack hole drilled, I probably would have tried it already. I'm not really sold on the HiFi Duet or the HiFi itself but I'd try it. I like how you have the jack mounted where you leave the screw in place. Interesting!

"Humorada" by one of Segovia's wives, Paquita Madriguera has always been one of the my favorite FEW classical pieces that I know. To me it sounds a little Django Improvisational n˚- ish.
