Hey Scoredog, I have a GE-7 that I got years ago but never really tried to use it with the GJ guitar. We should get together and mess with them just for kicks.
Interesting thread. I've been using a volume pedal for this purpose, and wasn't aware of these little boosters which seem a lot more easy to carry around.
I need three different volumes: rhythm, lead, and OFF, because when I'm playing banjo I don't want the guitar feeding back.
Do these little boosts you guys are using have that feature?
Paul Cezanne: "I could paint for a thousand years without stopping and I would still feel as though I knew nothing."
Edgar Degas: "Only when he no longer knows what he is doing does the painter do good things.... To draw, you must close your eyes and sing."
Georges Braque: "In art there is only one thing that counts: the bit that can’t be explained."
Some do have mute buttons.
My other guitar player uses a volume pedal but he sits. I sing and play mostly rhythm so a volume pedal is to me tougher to use.
I'm really exploring all the possibilities out there so hopefully will come up with one that'll be reasonably priced and effective. If I can't try them all out, I may just decide to screw it and go with one that's a bit more but unanimously praised.
Since I already have the Para, I hate to get another preamp tho unless I could sell it!
