In J'attendrai, I usually don't play that movement in bars 15 and 16 and as far as I could tell on a casual listen most recorded versions don't use it. I've seen it both ways in jams, staying on C and moving around. Few years ago at Django in June I was in the class with Christine Tassan, we played this song and she stayed on C for two bars before going to C7. For me that sealed it as the way to play it.
"Duj" video: fantastic, very "eastern" with the passing chords! A minor too would be o.k. to sing, the rather small range of the melody allows almost every key.
"J'attendrai" chords: staying on C is the way I knew the song before finding this sheet.
Thanks, still needs work. That's something I wanted to get better at for a long time so this provided a good opportunity. I played a basic form of that accompaniment growing up without so many passing chords.
I also came up with intro for Duj if people like it. Need a violin to play it, @gitane007 do you want to try it?

(Basic version, the above Am version uses additional passing chords, Dm would work for me as singer as well.)

(... and a basic version for the western tune)
G and A ascending at the end of bar 8 are closer to the chord, but G and B as below sound more interesting to me, and maybe are the original notes.
So let's settle on key for Duj, I practiced it last night in A- with those passing chords. Tricky suckers to catch them all on the fly

In the 4th measure of J'Attendrai do you guys use a B7 or F7?
Also, does anyone have a lead sheet?
Thx
I think the B7 is more inside the genre, and sounds "cooler".
B7, yeah. I'll try F7 today but I never saw anyone play that in jams.
A quick leadsheet, checked out between conference at school and cooking at home:
