It sounds like you've got a copy of Matt's book...it really is a great piece of work! I don't know, though, if he's okay with it being shared on such a large scale. Maybe we can find a way for people to buy the pdf from Matt...even at $10 a pop, it would be a great way to reward him for the transcribing work he put into it. I would have gladly payed twice that for my copy.
On the other hand, I think a copy is part of the fakebook project, so maybe they'll be more widely available soon...
Hi Jack
I can send it to you and you can see if it is in fact Matt's book.
If it is we can wait and see what he says, and if not you can
post it at will. I will gladly send him $10.00 if it is his(its worth it). I think
it is well done and As i said in my previous post I am not even sure where I got it.
Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,
I'm almost sure it's Matt's due to the 110 tunes reference, but just to be sure I'm posting only the title page below. If that doesn't match, feel free to send me what you've got and I'll see if I know its lineage. If it is the same, my understanding is that Matt wouldn't want the whole thing posted willy-nilly...not just because of the work he put into it, but also because of the legal issues that could come up.
One of my students bought a very good book from Michael at
DFNW, containing just the heads and changes for all of Django's songs. It was very accurate. Looks like the same folks that published the Bireli transcriptions. I'm sure that it's available thru Michael.

Yes,
That's the Fake Book that Matt (Lead Guitar) put together for my band Hot Club of Tucson...
A few copies have been sent out already be Matt and myself...
Kind of figured it would be passed along to others...
A lot of it was written in mind for the Vocalists that sit in with us as well as other guest musicians...
Vanilla changes in a few, (a mistake here and there) but a seasoned player already knows the passing chords and substitutions...
Please, any one that has received this book send him a care package in return...
He is so generous with his skills and talents...
That's what I do when I get something from someone...
Matt won't travel, so if you want to hear him live, we'll see you in Tucson...
And don't forget our clarinet player Marco Rosano... http://www.myspace.com/marcorosano
Check out his "Limehouse Blues"
(He plays everything on the recording)
Some of you may recognize our bass player, Evan Dain, from early Hot Club of San Fransisco fame and Banu Gibson...

Nice to see you on here Ben! I'll be sending along some more charts to you soon...and probably posting some here too. I'm working on getting them uniform in format/layout. Watch for them sometime this week.
Hey folks,
I've added a page for Powertab transcriptions and Band in the Box
files on my Hot Club Site. www.hotclubphilly.com
I'll be adding files all of the time, so check back often.
Also, I'm considering taking rquests for BIB files.
I'm not sure if you all know this, but BIB has a lead sheet function.
The files that I've done don't have the melodies, but they can be added.
They can be printed out as chord charts and/or lead sheets.
All the best,
Barry
Band in a box is a big part of my practice routine. I have posted this before, but here is my big zip file of all 100 BIAB files I have created for the django repertoire.
Like Barry's, no lead sheets. This is for two reasons: 1. I don't know how to read them, 2. I imagine they would be a nightmare to input in BIAB's insanely unintuitive UI.
The file is actually quite old. I'm sure I have added quite a bit more songs since then. When I get home I'll grab them and upload the remainder.
I also have a custom "style" that I modified that swings way harder than the default "DJANGO" style (which I have always found pretty boring). I'd be happy to post it if there's interest.
