Crickey!
Well, let that be a lesson to us mere mortals as to how the hands of the musician create the tone. Same guitar, studio, set up...
It's in the hands of these artists.
We are not worthy.
Thank you for sharing this. Very exciting stuff.
I can't begin to express how amazing all of this is. As if the record weren't enough, we're treated to actual footage of the recording as well as charts and play-alongs tracks! What a great time in history to be learning this style of playing!
**A new backing track is now availlable (in the Bonus / Backing tracks & chords progression section)
- "Impressions" by J. Coltrane.
Measure up to Adrien Moignard... (good luck ) www.selmer607.com/eng/grilles.php
If you can make it, we'll be delighted to see you saturday night for the CD release party at La Grosse Mignonne in Montreuil near Paris.

Yeah,
Robin is right- these are the best players in the world on this disc, at least a few of them- it looks to be an amazing record . . . I can't wait. All the video I've seen and tracks I've heard here are amazing . . hopefully the record will sell well, and be international.
Cheers and again, congrats on a great concept and what looks like an amazing execution.

I think this is the most exciting project to happen to gypsy jazz in the last 10 years. Bireli's Gypsy Project DVD would be my #2 most exciting thing. #3 would be Michael Horowitzs rhythm book, #4 would be Stochelos book. #5 IS Dennis's books.
All exciting stuff but Selmer 607 takes the cake.
I ordered the CD from Djangostation. It cost $30 but it is less than an hour of guitar work to pay for that. The most expensive CD I have ever bought.
I cannot understand why more people haven't posted incredibly enthusiastic responses to this project and the frightening talent involved... these musicians are the equivalent of a critical stage of musical development akin to be-bop or free jazz.
Wake up and smell the coffee.
I think many are recovering from their stunned reactions to this overwhelming display of virtuosity. I would bet that, when this album is made more available to the record-buying public, the shock wave will be felt far and wide. What you're hearing isn't the sound of crickets chirping- it's the deafening silence of amazement.

However, I must correct that Mathieu Chatelain has not been part of this recording.
