I have to mention Ken Peplowski, best known as a "swing" player,(he was in Benny Goodman's big band) - he covers a lot of the GJ repertoire, often duets with Frank Vignola, and released an album with 5 or 6 Django numbers "Gypsy Lamento" in 2008.
"Tiger rag" (Django's tiger)," Panama", "the shreik of agony" etc are all on youtube / dailymotion...
also worth hearing, on the latin jazz side, is Paquito D'Rivera
although not much overlaps with the GJ repertoire, his "Tico Tico" on clarinet is great.
For those that are into Koen deCAuter I re commend his homage to Georges Brassens
He's a gifted musician playing guitar, clarinet sax and vocals on this collection of very French songs. A few of which seem to have been adopted by the French GJ scene

I would also add Andy Whiteford of the Hot Club of Glasgow and new band Gitane Ecosse. He's an excellent player on clarinet and sax and makes the Tuesday night sessions something special
James Carter was at Samois last year (2010) , there are a few videos of him jammin' on youtube.
He made an album called "Chasin' the Gypsy", with lots of GJ / Django tunes on it.
Carter is a monster player, he often plays baritone and bass saxes, as well as tenor / alto / sop / and all the clarinets.
PLUS He's the smartest-dressed jazz-player i know:

Franck Wolf with Bireli Lagrene (Move)
Doesn't John Jorgenson also play clarinet on his own recordings ?
Kind regards,
Derek

Robby Marshall, who plays several woodwinds with Jessica Fichot's band, is also very good.
