Making them more or less equal is what I was doing. Occasionally throwing in the upstroke after the 1 works nice in a rumba and waltz. Anyway, I was just messing around, throwing spaghetti at the wall.
Oh yeah, this is a perfect way to play in be-bop waltz style that I heard Christophe Astolfi refer to. It always felt awkward to play 3/4 time with even 4s (which is what you're supposed to do in this bop waltz thing) but putting the accent just before the 2 gives it a reference to hang onto. Good one.
I recorded a little rose room on my looper to give an example. My guitar is in the shop, so I'm using my cigano, which is super bassy and might not give the best example, but here it is..
I'm a little confused... that's where the upstroke ornament is usually placed. Don't see what's reverse... the rhythm sounds great however, has really good vintage drive.

An accent on the early 2 is rather common with Viennes waltzes, I think.
Edit: and late 3.

Think it sounds fine.

Reminds me of some of the rhythm accompaniment adaption to Fapy and Koen solo lines in the WASO recordings! I like rips reverse La Pompe mp3 also!
Me to, I think it's kind of interesting.
I'll have to check out the fapy keon waso recordings. Thanks for the lead!

I’m putting after the 1 and 3(reverse), instead of before (normal ). I should have played it louder.
