Hey Buco! I think you and me are the only two people on the planet still interested in this, but here is a picture of what I meant. If I could have redone the is thread, then I would have just posted this picture and asked if anybody does this?
This diagram finally makes it clear for me. I thought you were trying to shift the upstroke to the downbeat and then your downstroke immediately after. I also understand now why you were calling it a reverse downstroke. And also why I wasn't hearing the upstroke (because I was listening before the downstroke, not after. Thanks for the clarifying image.

ha! Thanks for the putting up with me.
Good for you for trying things and confusing all of us. :)
I don't think @Rip upstrokes are on the and. Like I said I don't think you are swinging. It feels like two 1/16 notes.
1e 2 3e 4, 1e 2 3e 4 etc
If it was on the and of the beats it would be closer to Latin or ska. I'm glad you posted a video. Definitely clarified.
@Buco the arrows in the diagram indicate what beats to emphasize. Not down strokes.
It would be down up down, down up down.
I think @Rip you could definitely use this in a B section. Like in douce ambiance.
Apologies for the confusion, I'm still trying to figure stuff out. Thanks for bearing with me!
I didn't say they represent the down strokes?

True true. I was trying to guess what you were confused about in the diagram. That was my best guess. :) sorry.

Finally after 7 pages of confusing mess we have the diagram that I asked for on page 1… 😄
Here's one way to use it
Andreas says he learned it from Tchavolo.
@littlemark it's cool, appreciate the effort. Confused could be my middle name.
