I'm confused about this. Where is my user name in regards to the notifications? When I'm on the "notifications" page, only the users who posted in the discussion show on the notification line. I can click on my user name in the top left but that'll just take me to my default user page.

I do see what you mean about x appearing, it pops up when I mouse over something I wrote on my wall or a saved draft.
It just doesn't do anything over a notification line.
I tried in windows7 FF and IE browsers and XP FF browser.

@Buco we were talking about deleting activity posts on your wall which is something different than "notifications." Sorry, I should have said "activity post" instead of notification.

Ahh I see, yeah that part works fine.
Is there a way to get rid of notifications though?

@Buco yes, just go to your notifications page and hover over any message and click the X to delete.

@Buco OK, try now. I changed a permission setting that I think was preventing you from be able to delete activity and notification messages.

I don't have permision either to edit my profile picture or my signature. Is that a standard set up?
