Something tells me this might fetch more than “20 to 40 Euros” next month 😃😎

Typically in the style of the Joseph Di Mauro 'Heart Hole' model. A good one should be around 2,000 Euros retail. If there is no damage or reason to suspect anything untoward then the auction house is, as we use to say in London; "having a laugh". So yes, a silly estimate but worth keeping an eye on just in case a gem slips through.

The label on the upper bout has a number and the word Richard, so do tell Andy W where you found this, or the auction link. Or are you keeping that quiet in case you want to have a crack at it?

It’s listed on the French auction listing aggregator site “interencheres”, but I’m not planning on buying guitars, I should be selling guitars 😀

I think this guitar is rubbish. I don't think anyone should consider bidding on it. Not worth the 20 Euro estimate. No, I'm serious. No one bid on it... /s 😂

That guitar has the "heart" shaped soundhole so I guess it's a Di Mauro and it looks like it's estimated to sell for 20 to 40 euros, a ridiculous price, basically for free.

Please let us know how much it goes for. Looks great, and I've heard recordings of people playing these heart-hole Di Mauros and they sound wonderful!!

Perhaps I've bought a pile of junk here, but this was on Ebay this evening and I got it for £56 with shipping. Andy, tell me what it is please! It needs some work... a fair bit of work I think!

First impressions say definitely Sicilian. Yes some work needed but worth a go, it could come up nice and for 56 smackers surely a bargain. The crack should be an easy fix with a nice large soundhole you should be able to get a clamp in there to glue something behind. Then I would sand the old finish off and redo with shellac (easiest option) or nitro if preferred. Fix the missing dot marker but that bridge looks like it has been glued on? Probably should be a floater in which case again easy to find a replacement. Polish the frets and oil the fingerboard. That just leaves the tuners; do they work and only need a clean up? I will watch with interest and see what Andy W thinks.

The tailpiece has six slots for strings but only five holes to pull the strings through? What's up with that?
