Someone was complaining about wasted space on the left and right columns (couldn't figure out how to quote theIr post). The space is a good thing (maybe not quite so much spece needed). On my iPad you can scroll up and down the page without accidentillay opening a new "window", or tiggerring something. This is a pain the ass on some other sites.

@pickitjohn glad you like it! Seems like a useful feature. It's part of the advanced search plugin I installed. The user interface for the search is still a little basic, but that will improve. It allows you to search using a number of parameters including user, time, and category.

I'm able to subscribe to others' threads, but I don't see any button for subscribing to a thread I've started - and I'm not automatically seeing replies, just caught Jay's comment on my thread by happenstance (thank you again, Jay). Michael, or anyone? Thanks.

Seems to me that in the new forum format you "follow" the thread instead of subscribing to it and you do that by clicking the star next to the thread title, note that it doesn't seem to work in mobile site, only full site view.
